Meet Our Team
Mallory Cochrane
Executive Director
Mallory Cochrane is the Executive Director of the Oregon Organic Coalition. With more than 15 years of experience in local and regional food systems, her work has strengthened farm economies, expanded access to fresh, local food, and elevated the visibility of organic producers across Oregon.
Through her own business, Birch Social, Mallory helped small farms and food businesses build visibility and connection through strategic marketing and storytelling. She brings this experience in food systems leadership, communications, and coalition-building to her role at OOC and is excited to help steer the organization into its next phase of growth and impact.
Liv Hardley
Program Manager
Liv Hardley is the Project Manager at Oregon Organic Coalition. With 8 years of diverse experience working inside our food system, from school gardens to grocery collectives, classrooms, boardrooms, to urban farms . Her goal throughout it all has been to build a better food system for all.
She recently completed my Master's degree in Food Communication and Marketing at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Italy, the birthplace of the Slow Food Movement. Liv supports OOC with communications, social media, campaign planning, and supporting our grant projects come to life.
Meet Our Board Members
Mike Dill
Director of Advocacy & Sustainability, Organically Grown Company
Mike Dill oversees organic trade advocacy and sustainability for Organically Grown Company, the Northwest's largest organic produce distributor, and serves as lead coordinator for the Organic Produce Wholesalers Coalition. He is Vice-Chair of the Organic Trade Association's Produce Sector Council and serves on the boards of OOC, Washington's Coalition for Organic and Regenerative Agriculture (CORA), and the Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF). In 2024 he was appointed to the USDA's Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee, and in 2025 Oregon Governor Tina Kotek appointed him to the Oregon Board of Agriculture. He holds a Food Science and Technology degree with minors in Horticulture and Chemistry from Oregon State University.
Stacy Kraker

Hummingbird Wholesale
Stacy Kraker is the CEO of Hummingbird Wholesale, bringing over 20 years of leadership experience in mission-driven food and agriculture. Before joining Hummingbird, she served as Director of Marketing and Communications at Organically Grown Company, where she helped found the Organicology Conference, and later supported Hummingbird's transition to an Employee Owned Purpose Trust. Stacy led the OOC Board as Chair for eight years, spearheading state-level policy advocacy, and continues to serve as Board Secretary on the Policy, Communications, and Administration Committees.
Ben Bowell
Education and Advocacy Director,
Oregon Tilth
Ben Bowell oversees education programs, advocacy, and partnerships at Oregon Tilth, where he has worked for over 12 years, previously in a joint position with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. In addition to the OOC Board, he serves on the Governing Council of the Organic Farmers Association and the Organic Agronomy Training Service Steering Committee. Prior to Oregon Tilth, he worked for American Farmland Trust advocating for the protection of working lands. He holds a B.A. from Wake Forest University and an M.S. in Agriculture, Food, and Environment from Tufts University.
Brian Baker
Principal,
Belcairn Concerns LLC
Dr. Brian Baker has worked in organic agriculture since 1983 and founded the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) in Eugene in 1997. He received his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University and began his career at California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) before establishing OMRI. Since leaving OMRI, Brian has divided his time between farming, teaching, inspecting, consulting, and research. He serves as Affiliate Faculty in the Environmental Science Graduate Program at Oregon State University and is Principal of Belcairn Concerns LLC, a private consulting practice in Eugene.
David Lively
Co-founder and Pioneer Emeritus,
Organically Grown Company
David Lively has been involved in the organic agricultural movement since 1976 as a gardener, farmer, and founding employee of Organically Grown Company. He contributed to the founding of the Sustainable Food Trade Leadership Association, the Organic Produce Wholesalers Coalition, and the biennial Organicology conference, and has served on the boards of Oregon Tilth, the Organic Seed Alliance, and the Organic Trade Association. He currently sits on the Oregon Organic Coalition leadership council and serves as OGC's Pioneer Emeritus in semi-retirement.
Alice Morrison

Friends of Family Farmers
Alice Morrison is a food system advocate, former farmer, and farmers market manager based in the South Willamette Valley. She began her career as a community organizer before working on local farms, briefly running her own operation in Lane County, and managing the Veneta Farmers Market. Since joining Friends of Family Farmers in 2020, she has grown into the role of Co-Executive Director, focusing on advocacy and fundraising. Alice holds a Masters of Nonprofit Management from the University of Oregon and serves on the OOC Board and her local grange.
