Organically Grown in Oregon Week

September 8-14, 2025

Join us September 8–14, 2025 for Organically Grown in Oregon Week

Celebrate 37 years of organic roots and growth with a week of learning, fun, and recognition for the leaders, farmers, and values that launched the movement.

Oregonians played a foundational role in shaping the organic movement and certification standards in the United States. In 1972, Oregon became the first state to pass legislation defining and regulating organic farming, setting a precedent for other states and eventually influencing national standards.

Governor Kotek signs Organically Grown in Oregon Week Proclamation

We’re thrilled to share that Governor Kotek has officially proclaimed September 8–14, 2025 as Organically Grown in Oregon Week!

This statewide recognition highlights the importance of organic agriculture to Oregon’s economy, environment, and communities. The proclamation celebrates the farmers, food businesses, and advocates who make Oregon a leader in organic food and farming—and affirms the state’s commitment to supporting a thriving organic sector.

Securing an official proclamation from the Governor recognizes Oregon’s legacy as a leader in the organic agriculture and elevates Organically Grown in Oregon Week to a statewide platform, giving greater visibility and credibility to the farmers, businesses, and advocates driving the organic movement.

Join us September 8–14 for a week of events, tastings, stories, and celebrations across Oregon as we honor the people and values behind organics in Oregon.
