
Amy Wong
Coalition Director
Amy Wong is an Oregon attorney who is the Coalition Director of the Oregon Organic Coalition. Amy moved to Portland in 2010 to attend law school, where she earned a certificate in Environment and Natural Resources Law, with a focus on sustainable agriculture. Prior to joining the OOC, Amy served as the Policy Director for Friends of Family Farmers. Amy also was the Chief of Staff to Oregon State Senator Jeff Golden and advocated on behalf of a coalition of nonprofit organizations seeking legislative and agency protection for Oregon’s vegetable specialty seed industry. Previously, Amy worked as a travel and food writer, which took her all over the globe. Amy is a beginning seed saver and ceramicist and sits on the Board of the Karuna Foundation.

Mike Dill

Mike Dill oversees organic trade advocacy and sustainability for Organically Grown Company, the Northwest’s largest organic produce distributor. He is the lead coordinator for the Organic Produce Wholesalers Coalition, representing organic wholesalers and growers to the National Organic Program, National Organic Standards Board and Legislators. Mike is also Vice-Chair of the Organic Trade Association’s Produce Sector Council and hold seats on the boards of the Oregon Organic Coalition (OOC), Washington’s Coalition for Organic and Regenerative Agriculture (CORA) and the Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF). In 2024, Mike was appointed by Secretary Tom Vilsack to the USDA’s Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee and in 2025 Oregon Governor Tina Kotek appointed Mike to the Oregon Board of Agriculture.
Mike’s seventeen years of experience in the organic trade includes eight years managing food safety, compliance and policy and two years managing stakeholder engagement and advocacy for OGC, along with five years working as an organic inspector, Fair Trade inspector and certification officer for Oregon Tilth. Mike received his Food Science and Technology degree with minors in Horticulture and Chemistry from Oregon State University.

Stacy Kraker

Stacy Kraker, CEO of Hummingbird Wholesale, brings over 20 years of leadership experience within mission-driven food and agriculture businesses and non-profit organizations. Before joining Hummingbird Wholesale in 2018 as the Director of Marketing and Sales, Stacy held the position of Director of Marketing and Communications at Organically Grown Company (OGC). During her tenure at OGC, she was instrumental in the creation and organization of the Organicology Conference from 2009 to 2017. At Hummingbird Wholesale, Stacy was actively involved in the company’s ownership transition, supporting the previous owners in transforming the business into an Employee Owned Purpose Trust. Her commitment extends to board service, having served on the boards of non-profit and business entities such as Provender Alliance and Organically Grown Company. During her tenure with the Oregon Organic Coalition (OOC), Stacy led the organization for 8 years as the Board Chair, spearheading state-level policy advocacy and engagement within Oregon’s organic trade. She continues to serve as the OOC Board Secretary and actively participates in the Policy, Communications and Administration Committees.
A change agent by nature, Stacy believes in the power of business to act as a force for doing good in the world. She is motivated by a life-long passion for organic farming and food, and is inspired to co-create systems that support positive personal and community growth through authentic human connections. Stacy finds an abundance of peace and joy in the outdoors – camping, hiking and kayaking Oregon’s beautiful mountain lakes and coastal rivers, and traveling with her family, friends and dog companions.

Ben Bowell
Education and Advocacy Director

Ben oversees education programs, advocacy activities and partnerships at Oregon Tilth. He has worked for the organization for over 12 years, previously serving for many years as an Education Specialist in a joint position with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). He is responsible for program development and oversight, strategic leadership, development activities, and partner relationships. In addition to serving on the Board of the Oregon Organic Coalition, Ben serves on the Governing Council of the Organic Farmers Association and the Organic Agronomy Training Service (OATS) Steering Committee. Prior to Oregon Tilth, he worked for American Farmland Trust advocating for the protection and sustainability of working lands. He has a B.A. from Wake Forest University and an M.S. from Tufts University’s Agriculture, Food, and Environment Program.

Athena Petty

Athena Petty is a sustainability practitioner with over 15 years of experience working with companies to draw down their climate impact and build sustainable systems. A graduate of the University of Oregon, Athena worked in the energy efficiency sector developing innovative behavior change models to reduce energy use before shifting her focus to food and agriculture. As the Senior Manager of Sustainability and B Corp practice lead at New Seasons Market, Athena develops strategies that deliver value beyond the dollar, implements climate actions and creates partnerships to deepen impact. Athena is dedicated to the protection of our planet and communities and advocates for farmer protections and the climate-smart practices necessary for a resilient food economy. Athena is inspired by nature and seeks balance in life, spending time with her family under the stars whenever possible.

Brian Baker
Principal
Belcairn Concerns LLC
Dr. Brian Baker has worked in organic agriculture since 1983. He has lived in Oregon since 1997, when he moved to Eugene to start the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI). Brian grew up on a small family farm in Western New York, He received his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University. Following the award of his doctorate, Brian was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley. Baker left academia to work as the first full-time certification staff person at California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF). His work at CCOF led to the establishment of OMRI. Since leaving OMRI, Baker has divided his time between farming, teaching, inspecting, consulting, and research. He serves as Affiliate Faculty for the Environmental Science Graduate Program at Oregon State University and has published several peer-reviewed articles on organic agriculture and farming systems. He also served as International Research Networker at the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL) in Switzerland. He is also Principal of Belcairn Concerns LLC, a private consulting practice in Eugene, Oregon, USA with clients in the non-profit, academic, government, and for-profit sectors.

David Lively

David has been involved in the organic agricultural movement and trade since 1976 as a gardener, farmer, and founder and employee of Organically Grown Company. In addition to participating in the creation of OGC, David contributed to the founding of the Sustainable Food Trade Leadership Association and initiated the creation of the Organic Produce Wholesalers Coalition and the biennial Organicology conference. David has served the organic trade on the boards of the Center for Applied Agricultural Research by appointment of Oregon Governor Roberts, Oregon Tilth, Sustainable Food Trade Leadership Association, Organic Seed Alliance and the Organic Trade Association. He currently sits on the Oregon Organic Coalition leadership council and serves as OGC’s Pioneer Emeritus in semi-retirement.

Alice Morrison

Alice Morrison is a food system advocate, former farmer, and farmers market manager in the South Willamette Valley. Before joining the team at Friends of Family Farmers, Alice started her career as a campaign and community organizer. Then after dedicating herself to the food system, she was a crew member at several local farms and briefly ran her own small scale farm in Lane County, selling berries and a diversified selection of veggies at local farmers markets, and she managed the Veneta Farmers Market. Alice found FoFF through her work with the local National Young Farmers Coalition Chapter and attended many of their advocacy events to advocate for herself and community. Since joining the FoFF staff in 2020, Alice has worn many hats and is now the Co-Executive Director of Friends of Family Farmers focusing on the advocacy program and fundraising. In addition to her service on the OOC Board, Alice holds a Masters of Nonprofit Management from the University of Oregon, has previously served on the board of the Oregon Farmers Market Association (2018-2025) and the Oregon Community Food Systems Leadership Team (2022-2024), and is currently the vice president of her local grange. In her free time she tends her garden, enjoys preserving food to share with her friends and neighbors and spends time in the woods with her dogs.

Stephen Pierce is the founder of Blue Pine Bookkeeping, where he provides clear, dependable financial support to a variety of small businesses. He holds a Post-Baccalaureate degree in Accounting from Portland State University and began his career in public accounting before shifting his focus to more personalized, long-term partnerships with business owners. In addition to his client work, Stephen serves as Chief Operations and Admin Officer at Umi Organic, a Portland-based company dedicated to sustainability and equity in the food system.

Drawing on experience managing CSAs, farmers’ markets, and community events, Mallory blends creativity with practical know-how to craft authentic experiences that bring people together, strengthen local food systems, and amplify the stories behind the food we share.
